For patients who do not wish to receive acupuncture but still want to benefit from Chinese medicine. All herbal formulas will be prescribed by the licensed acupuncturist and modified to fit each individual patient’s needs. This is a much safer alternative to trying to diagnose and treat yourself. Depending on the prescription, herbs can cost anywhere from $5-$15 per week. Open Channel confidently works with Living Stream Wellness’ extensive pharmacy located just three minutes from our location.

Each consultation usually lasts between thirty and forty-five minutes at $60

Fire cupping is a traditional technique used in Chinese medicine to remove stagnation from the body and improve blood flow. The cup is placed on specific areas of the body to release the muscles, pull out toxins, and remove stasis. Fire does not actually touch the patient but is used to remove the air from the cup before being placed. Great for muscle tightness, a cold that’s moving into the lungs, smoking cessation, numbness/tingling, and deep relaxation.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a traditional technique in Chinese medicine using a smooth tool and 'scraping' the surface of the skin. The skin is not damaged or broken (the pictures can look quite intimidating!) Think of this as a deep tissue massage using a tool instead of hands. Great for muscle tightness and knots, improving immune system health, preventing illnesses, and deep relaxation.
